What is it used for?
To manage sexual processes, the LH test works in tandem with another hormone called follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). As a result, an FSH test is frequently performed with an LH test. These tests are utilised differently depending on whether you are a woman, a man, or a child.
In women, these tests are most often used to:
- Assist in determining the cause of infertility.
- Learn when ovulation happens; this is when you are most likely to become pregnant.
- Determine the cause of irregular or discontinued menstrual periods.
In men, these tests are most often used to:
- Determine the cause of a low sperm count.
- Determine the cause of your decreased sex drive.
