Endometrial hyperplasia is more common in women in their perimenopause or menopause. It is uncommon in people under the age of 35.
- Certain breast cancer therapies (tamoxifen) are also risk factors.

- Menstruation begins at a young age, and menopause begins later.
- Ovarian, uterine, or colon cancer in the family.
- Gallstones are a type of gallbladder disease.
- When you still have a uterus, you can use estrogen-only hormone therapy.
- Never having been pregnant.
- Obesity.

- Thyroid condition.
- Menstruation has been irregular or nonexistent for a long time.
- Previous pelvic irradiation (radiation to the pelvis).
