Screening Sperm Donor
The individual must be free of HIV and hepatitis B and C infections, hypertension, diabetes and sexually transmitted disease and identifiable and common genetic disorder such as thalassemia. The age of donor must not be below twenty one or above forty five years.
Donor such as height, weight, age, academic qualification, profession, color of the skin, eye, and family historical past in respect of any family disorder, should be recorded in an appropriates form.
An analysis should be completed at the semen of the individual, ideally the usage of a semen analyzer, and the semen should be observed to be everyday in keeping with WHO approach manual for semen analysis, if meant to be used for ART sharing of semen.
One pattern of semen provided by an ART bank will be utilized by the ART clinic only once on only one recipient.
