Dehydration

What is dehydration?

Dehydration occurs when your body does not have enough water. The most effective strategy to avoid dehydration is to drink before you become thirsty. If you’re thirsty, you’re already mildly dehydrated, which can induce headaches, lethargy, dizziness, and other symptoms.

Water helps:

  • Aid digestion and eliminate waste.
  • Exercise your joints. They are lubricated by water.
  • Make saliva (which you must consume).
  • Circulate oxygen throughout your body.
  • Control your body temperature.
