What are the symptoms of low AMH?

Symptoms of Low AMH:

  • Irregular Menstrual Cycles
  • Difficulty conceiving
  • Early Monopause
  • Poor Response to Ovarian Stimulation
  • Elevated Follicile-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) Levels
  • Bad Egg Quality
  • Increased Risk of Pregnancy Complications

Explaining Symptoms of Low AMH:

IRREGULAR MENSTRUAL CYCLES: Low AMH levels might cause irregular menstrual periods. Women with low AMH may have menstrual cycles that are shorter or longer than typical. They may also notice changes in their blood flow or the length of their periods. Women with low AMH may also have fewer menstrual cycles per year.

DIFFICULTY CONCEIVING: Women who have low AMH levels may find it difficult to conceive. This is due to the fact that AMH is a strong predictor of ovarian reserve, and women with low AMH may have fewer eggs available for fertilisation. Women with low AMH may have infertility or subfertility as a result.

EARLY MENOPAUSE: Women who have low AMH levels may go through early menopause. Menopause is defined as a natural process in which a woman’s ovaries cease to produce eggs. Women with low AMH levels, on the other hand, may experience menopause earlier than usual, which can have serious consequences for their fertility and overall health.

POOR RESPONSE TO OVARIAN STIMULATION: Women with low AMH levels may not respond well to ovarian stimulation. Ovarian stimulation is a procedure used in reproductive treatments such as IVF to stimulate the ovaries to generate numerous eggs. Women with low AMH levels, on the other hand, may not respond well to ovarian stimulation, making it harder to obtain a healthy pregnancy.

ELEVATED FOLLICLE-STIMULATING HORMONE (FSH) LEVELS: Women with low AMH levels may have high amounts of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). FSH is the hormone that encourages the ovaries to create eggs. When AMH levels are low, the body may create more FSH to compensate for the diminished ovarian reserve. High FSH levels may suggest that the ovaries are not properly responding to hormonal cues, making it harder for women to conceive.

REDUCED EGG QUALITY: Low AMH levels might potentially indicate poor egg quality. Women’s egg quality naturally diminishes as they age, however women with low AMH levels may have a more substantial decline in egg quality at a younger age. Poor egg quality makes it difficult for women to conceive and raises the chance of miscarriage and genetic disorders.

INCREASED RISK OF PREGNANCY COMPLICATIONS: Women with low AMH levels may be more prone to pregnancy problems. Low AMH levels can indicate a decrease in ovarian reserve, which increases the risk of miscarriage, preterm birth, and other pregnancy problems. Women with low AMH levels are therefore more likely to have a kid with a low birth weight.
