What causes male infertility?

 

Azoospermia: 

  • Infertility can be caused by an inability to generate sperm cells.

Oligospermia

  • The production of low-quality sperm.

Malformed sperm

  • Sperm that is unable to survive long enough to fertilise the egg.

Variocoles:

  • This is a condition in which the veins in your testicles are larger than usual, causing them to overheat and affecting the form or amount of your sperm.

Cancer treatments: 

  • Chemotherapy, radiation, or testicular removal surgery (one or both).

Hormonal disorders:

  • Infertility can be impacted by hypothalamic or pituitary gland disorders
