WHO CAN BE A DONOR?

WHO CAN BE A DONOR?

  • A cadaveric or related living donor will provide the uterus for transplant.
  • To lower the possibility of rejection, the uterus will be matched to the subject using a number of selection criteria.
  • Women must be between the ages of forty and sixty.
  • Younger than forty-year-old females who have undergone permanent sterilization, had healthy pregnancies, and have had successful pregnancies.
  • Women who are in good health.

HOW IS THE PROCESS CARRIED OUT?

The recipient’s uterus will be transplanted from the donor along with its blood supply using a microvascular anastomosis. The patient should go through carefully regulated ovarian hyperstimulation and egg collection before the transplant surgery.   IVFICSI is used to fertilize the recipient’s husband sperm and the recipient’s egg; after a successful transplant, embryo cryopreservation will be carried out to allow for embryo transfer.
